Monday

Well today began really slowly, I woke up and it was dark outside. Not something I'm used to. I had forgot to reset my clock so when my other alarm went off I still thought it was only 4:30. So I almost didn't make it to school. I have a feeling this week will drag on forever. When I woke up I didn't know what day it was and then finally figured out that it was only Monday. It's like when you have a dream that you won the lottery and you wake up as poor as you were when you went to sleep, such a disappointment. Just like a Monday.

So I watched the State of the Union address last night, and it really upsets me that some people don't agree with what the president is saying. I mean did you see the way the Iraqis were overjoyed on Sunday because they actually got to engage in a FREE ELECTION?! There was a 65-70% voter turnout rate, more than we will ever see in this country. Is it worth all of the money that we have been spending to fund this war? Certainly. Is it worth the many deaths in conjunction with this war? That is to be the question. I will paraphrase the words that President Bush said last night, that our troops are courageously fighting for us over there, so we don't have to HERE.
